Wokingham Choral Society Summer Concert

Saturday 23rd June
7.30 pm

Wokingham Choral Society was formed by a small group of enthusiasts in July 1951 and gave its first concert in November that same year. Membership has gradually increased over the years to over 100 singers with strength in all four voice parts.

Under its first conductor, Graeme Jenkins, currently Music Director of the Dallas Opera and Cologne Opera, it acquired the high standard that attracted the now equally renowned Paul Daniel CBE and,  later Edward Gardner.

The present conductor, Patrick Allies, who founded Siglo del Oro, is Conductor of Blackheath and Bramley Choral Society and of chamber choir Khoros as well as Senior Choral Specialist at Lady Margaret School Parson's Green, and Director of Music at All Saints' Putney.
